Why is SEO important for small businesses?

Why is SEO important

SEO brings in high-quality leads—organically!

This is especially important for health & wellness businesses as we gots to do a good bit of educating before clients typically walk in the door.

It’s pointless to spend money on ads before you have a solid SEO strategy (but that’s a blog for another day…).

If you spend time honing in on your organic marketing strategy, you:

» attract people who trust you

» find clients who want to learn

» reach an audience that’s serious

SEO fills your business with ideal clients you’re chomping at the bit to help.

If you’re even a tiny bit like me, you chose your job because you wanted to do 1 thing—help people!

But you can’t help the people if you don’t tell the people you exist (& explain how you can assist them).

Creating a solid SEO strategy actually forces us as healthpreneurs to niche down—think about what we do best, why people trust us, & what we love sharing.

If you continue either 1. Not saying anything or 2. Talking to everyone about everything—you’re not going to attract the best clients for your practice. Period.

Local SEO is another important piece of the puzzle.

Especially for my holistic health practitioners with physical offices.

This type of SEO is designed to help you attract clients in your area to schedule an appointment with you.

Of course there’s more nuance to it, but at its core—local SEO is “regular” SEO with a focus on your location.

Who needs SEO

New healthcare business owners and those who’ve been around the block.

Something I hear often from potential clients is, “I don’t know if it’s the right time for me to use SEO.”

Yes. Now is the time! Don’t worry about it being “too soon” or “too late.” That’s all a bunch a’ bunk.

You need to focus on what you can do about it now that you’re aware of it. And on that note…
