It was March 2020.
Like most other humans on planet Earth, I was kneeling in child’s pose on my yoga mat.
The entryway alcove situation of my studio apartment in Raleigh became my workout studio, my arts-n-crafts space, my “Zoom room,” & my office.
It was from this “office” that
I tuned into The Copy Chat.
A virtual, audio summit (like a private podcast) hosted by Marisa Corcoran.
And after all was said and done…
I became a copywriter.
Yeah, so basically that ^^ is the SUPER condensed version of how I became a copywriter.
But, of course, there’s MUCH more to the story. And I’ll tell it more fully—now.
This is the story of how Marisa Corcoran, the brains behind The Copy Chat & The Copy Confidence Society (CCS), made me realize my potential as a copywriter.
And my massage-therapist-turned-SEO-and-case-study-copywriter story kicked off.
I’d been lurking on Marisa’s email list for about 18 months by the time I decided to join CCS.
Reasons why I joined:
I wanted to be Marisa—I’ll never have her hair, sigh, but I *could* improve my storytelling skills!
…but I also wanted to know exactly how to show up more as myself—something accomplished with The Copy Stars & The Credibility Star (inside CCS).
