Hello and welcome back to the Basic B podcast. I'm your host and favorite SEO coach, Brittany Hersberg. We're getting straight into it. I have heard that you enjoy that, so here we go. I have been changing a lot behind the scenes, and I've even got a fun brand new low-ticket offer that I think you're gonna love, and I'm gonna tell you about it so shortly. But just know that it's been a really full year over here and a very full week, personally, professionally, and a lot of good stuff, but I've also kind of been on a roller coaster and I want to tell you about it because
It does have a lot to do with this new idea that I have. So a couple things that transpired this week. One was that I got to work with Dr. B. Bobbin to have a virtual decluttering slash organizing session. I will be sure to link her below. I think it's so cool. She calls herself a certified decluttering coach and recovering owner of too much stuff. I mean, I think I know some people who probably relate to that. The session itself was so efficient. We had a little over an hour.
It was so freeing. And I really highly recommend working with her if you're someone, even someone like me who's accumulated things while living in a temporary home situation. We're house hunting, we're in an apartment, we were bouncing in and out of Airbnbs for a couple of years there. It was a lot. I have been in a mindset of like, what's the point of addressing this issue when we're not gonna be here forever? But Dr. B had such a great point that I deserve and people deserve to live right now in a space that feels good. So
That was one thing that I ended up doing. And then the other kind of like part of the spectrum was that with offers and client stuff, there have been a lot of happy things and there have been a couple of heavy things because I am changing things and stuff is happening behind the scenes. I'm just making sure like the business and the offers are aligned with how I want to live my life and where I want to take my business and especially as I think of, you know, changes that I want to happen in the future.
the biggest shift this week was that I'm discontinuing monthly done for you SEO support, which is where I've been the SEO person for up to 10 business owners at a time. The decision has been tough. It's taking me back to the few times when I had to let a massage client go. And that instance and also with this instance, the hardest part is that like no one has done anything wrong. They haven't been bad or unenjoyable. I actually really love doing this work.
Brittany Herzberg (02:27.768) But I've noticed how much pressure I put on myself and how I haven't been getting deliverables back to clients as quickly as I want to. And it's just time. I want them to fly and I want to shake some things up over here. So it's been very bittersweet for sure. And on the flip side of that, closing down the offer, I'm putting much more focus on the SEO sprint, SEO and Grow, and my maintained membership. This is the offer suite. I guess you could even say pipeline, but that kind of feels a little gross that I'm most excited about.
And the reason I'm super excited about it is that I really love how every space has such a clear job now. The SEO sprint is where you get your SEO in place for those core website pages. Then SEO and Grow is where you get to expand upon that with SEO for content, whether that's podcast episodes or blog posts, and off-site SEO for things like your Instagram profile and directory listings. And then the maintain membership is where we get to take it deeper with metrics, tracking to see.
what you've done on your site, on your profiles, and with your content to see how it's impacting your business and to see also what needs to be adjusted. Things like do you need to blog more? Could you drop the amount that you're blogging? Should you shift the time you're spending on Instagram to something like threads or podcast guesting? And then on the done for you front, I'm only working with one client a month and that's going so, so, so well. I only have one more spot open for 2026. It's a November spot. And then nothing available until February.
This is how I had been with my massage practice where I booked things out and I am so thrilled to be back to this kind of booking system with my SEO business. It just makes me so happy. And now, for the biggest thing that I have to share with you today, there was a massive aha that came forward as I was learning more and more about my human design. I had a reading with a friend Karina and then I'm in a group with Hannah Becker that she's leading. I'll link both of these amazing humans below. But what they've shared with me and pointed out.
in my freaking chart is really confirming some thoughts and observations that I had already been having about myself, my clients, my offer suite, things like that. Those conversations were the catalyst for me making that final decision to drop that monthly support. The craziest thing that they were picking up in my chart is that I'm not actually meant to be in people's worlds, like clients' worlds for an extended time. I'm really intended to like come in, initiate or activate things.
Brittany Herzberg (04:51.498) share ideas, fix things, and just really get people going and be there as a resource, be there as support for random points along the way. Like if they want to start a podcast or if they want to move their website to Squarespace or something like that. Side note, it turns out that people who are the most aligned clients for me are actually very, very curious about this kind of thing. one person was calling it occult, stuff like astrology, human design, crystals, all that good stuff. So I mean, I have the perfect client example too. She
actually told me that she did a stell and that is what helped her find the office space that she rented. I mean, how cool is that? So I'll be talking much more about that, sharing my experiences, and I'm even get this going to weave in these elements in an upcoming photo shoot that I have. I am so excited. I don't want to shout in your ear. That would be rude, but that and I have some other fun props that I am super excited about, but I don't want to spill the beans. I just want your jaw to hit the floor when you see them. Okay, let's get back to the point of this episode. So the bonus aha that I had
with all this human design stuff and reading my chart and just kind of like thinking about what I actually want to be doing and the spaces that I want to create for people is that I want a low ticket group space. I had this idea and then kind of like set it on the on the shelf and didn't really pay attention to it much more after that. I spent the last few weeks just really being open to ideas. I didn't know exactly what it would be, would I give people, what would the price point be, where would I host the thing, but this week
It all landed. It's still landing, even like as I'm talking to you. I made a few notes before I even started recording this. So I'm sure these first couple months will just come with some of those kinks that we'll be working out together. He still doesn't have a name. But I've got the basis of what this thing is. So it will be in Telegram. It will be a space that you can bring questions and I can share answers. I'm currently planning for it to be asynchronous QA sessions every other week. So asynchronous just meaning that you can drop them in Telegram and then
I'll say something like, I'll come in and answer your questions every other Tuesday or whatever cadence I decide. So you don't have to be live for a call, which is great. I think so many of us like we sign up for these things with the best of intentions, and then life happens or client stuff happens or whatever, and you can't make it. And then you don't ever go back to the replay. So I really want this to be this asynchronous version where it's like you drop the questions, I drop in with answers. And I can even see this.
Brittany Herzberg (07:12.938) being a space where I can share resources and encourage some organic networking and collaborations. Like maybe I'll suggest that, like, hey Chelsea, go talk with Nicole about being a guest on our podcast. Or maybe I'll have a prompt once a month where you share your ideal client and someone else can come through and see that and connect you with another person as a referral source or something like that. I don't know. I feel like that's gonna be part of this space. And I love a good flux space. Can you tell I've been watching a lot of house shows.
So I'll also have a thread where I can just drop insights, ideas, whatever as they come up in other places, like my higher ticket group programs or in emails or with Done for You clients. I have the perfect example. This week, I would have brought something like this up in the group if it existed. So I have a Dun4You client whose project is starting in October. She's spending this next month or so revamping her website copy and she emailed me asking if it was so cute. She's like, do I really need all of these pages?
And she was specifically asking about home, about, and services pages. I'm gonna tell you what I shared with her. There's also a post that I shared on Threads, but you definitely want all three home, about, and services. And the jobs are kind of like this. So home page gives people a landing place. It's like the customer service operator that you eventually end up talking to who says, yeah, you need to go see so-and-so on the third floor. The about page is the fun and weird one a little bit because we want to share your story.
But through the lens of how your story and expertise actually benefits or can help these future clients. It's almost like a dating profile. Just stay with me. You're sharing enough information so that they feel like you are the person, the provider, the whatever for them. And then services page is where you want to highlight the various services that you offer, especially if you have like one main landing page for your services page. And then maybe you have a few like sub services pages that you go out and specifically talk about the SEO sprint or specifically talk about.
I don't know, massage sessions. We want to highlight a framework or process if you have one. If you don't have one, you definitely want one. And it just makes it easier because you can guide people through like, here's what to expect thing one, thing two, all of that. Keep this question in mind for a services page too. What would you tell someone if they meet you and they're wondering how they can work with you? So I shared all of that with this done for you client. And this is the exact kind of thing that I plan to pop in telegram and share with the group. Things I will not be doing.
Brittany Herzberg (09:37.248) I will not be doing keyword research. I will not be creating strategies. I will not be reviewing anything. Nothing of that nature. For that, you can join the SEO sprint or inquire about done for you services. But that is not what's going to happen. It's literally going to be you have some questions. You want to get familiar with SEO. You don't understand where things are located. You have heard me talk about image optimization and you're like, what does that even look like? We'll talk through that kind of stuff. The group is technically officially open right now.
And the first full week is going to be September 7th. So you're hearing this right in time. See how we planned that? It's beautiful. This is going to be an ongoing thing. Doors will be open. You could call it evergreen. So you can join anytime. I'm offering a founder's rate to join us at $27 a month. And of course, you can cancel at any time. And as an added bonus, for anyone who joins by September 17th, I'm going to be hosting a live call. I'll show you around, set up the master plan.
Of what's going to be happening in there, and you'll be able to bring some questions to the call and get an answer right then and there. My biggest hope for this group is that you'll get familiar with SEO, you'll start to feel more confident with it, more empowered by this marketing strategy, and that you see that you're not alone in this. So many business owners haven't paid attention to SEO. They don't understand it. And please hear me, that is okay. That's what I'm here to help you with. If you've listened to the podcast or you've been in my world for any
thing for any amount of time, you know that I don't believe in dumb questions. The very things that you're wondering about are questions that I had too. But the difference is that I didn't have anyone that I could go to and ask. Yet I get to be that person for you. So the link is going to be below. Again, it's open now. The first week of this is September 7th. And when you join by September 17th, you're invited to that bonus live call. Of course, find me, DM me on Instagram, Brittany underscore Herzberg with any questions that you may have.
Thanks for tuning in as always. And remember, I'm cheering you on on your SEO journey.
